Washington D.C., overlooking the Potomac River in the heart of the nation’s capital. Its setting is urban, and the 102 acre campus is highlighted by the school’s Romanesque revival style architecture. Georgetown is consistently ranked and recognized as one of the top and most prominent universities in the country.

Georgetown University offers degrees in four undergraduate schools and five graduate schools including its highly touted Law School, Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business, and School of Nursing & Health Studies. Although the University is traditionally a Jesuit and Catholic University, only 40% identify themselves as Roman Catholic and it is one of the most diverse schools in the country. Students are involved in a variety of different ways on campus; Georgetown offers its students networking opportunities and access to various international programs, community organizations, and internships.

The Georgetown Hoyas compete at the Division I level and have traditionally competed in the Big East Conference. The men’s basketball team is Georgetown’s most successful program, having made 27 NCAA Tournament appearances and claiming an NCAA title in 1984.

Notable alumni and attendees include U.S. President Bill Clinton, Patricia Russo (business), and actor Bradley Cooper. Former Hoyas who have gone on to compete in the NBA include: Patrick Ewing, Allen Iverson, Dikembe Mutombo, and Alonzo Mourning.
