Located in Boston’s college town of Cambridge, Harvard’s 209 acre main campus sits on Harvard Yard and has more recently expanded to hug both sides of the Charles River. The architecture at Harvard tells of its 300 plus years of rich and diverse history; from the quaint Massachusetts Hall –its oldest building– to the picturesque Memorial Church and emphatic Widener Library. Harvard is consistently reputed as the top university in the U.S. –and world.

As a research university, Harvard’s endowment is the largest in the world. Harvard’s 10,500 undergraduates and 17,500 graduates can earn degrees in over 200 different fields, including its prestigious Business School, Medical School, and Law School. Students live in the heart of campus their first year and are later placed in one of 12 undergraduate houses their remaining three years. Harvard provides access to a variety of historic and reputable student organizations and clubs. There are no fraternities or sororities at Harvard, although there are 13 “final clubs” that serve as unofficial student groups on campus with similar functions as Greek life.

The Harvard Crimson athletic teams compete at the Division I level in the Ivy League across 42 men’s and women’s teams.

Included among the many notable alumni, attendees, and faculty: 9 U.S. Presidents, Helen Keller, Henry David Thoreau, Yo-Yo Ma, Natalie Portman (Actress) and Tommy Lee Jones (Actor).
